Job description  
The Cognitive Neurology and Memory Research section of the F.C. Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging at the Radboud University Nijmegen (NL) seeks one outstanding postdoctoral fellow for a project on the neurobiological basis of aversive memories. This multidisciplinary project is funded by a renowned Vici-Award provided by the Dutch Science Foundation (NWO). It integrates cognitive neuroscience applying fMRI, pharmacological intervention and genetic assessment. Additionally, this position will be an integral part of our nascent research group linking the efforts of the Departments of Human Genetics, Epidemiology, and the F.C. Donders Center to integrate human quantitative genetics with functional and structural neuroimaging.
Requirements
We encourage any excellent applicant with a strong background in quantitative genetics and complex data analysis who wants to contribute to an interdisciplinary research project centered on the genetic basis of memory, stress responsiveness, and stress-related mental disorders.
Conditions of employment  
The successful candidate will predominantly work at the F.C. Donders Center, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with two Siemens MR systems, a whole-head MEG, three EEG laboratories and high-performance computing resources.  Additionally, he/she will work fully integrated in the Departments of Human Genetics and Epidemiology

Employment: 1,0 (fte)
Salary scale: commensurate with experience
Duration of contract: After a one-year probation period, the appointment can be extended for several years

In order to integrate and strengthen the expertise in genetic statistics and epidemiology at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center, both postdocs will also be a member of the 'Centre for Genetic Epidemiology'. Through this facility, the collaborating experts will have a continuous training opportunity but will also form a back-up for each other. The postdocs will spend a small part of their time as consultants in other projects.
